UPDATE # 1 Youth facing charges for damages in the men’s washroom at the Kinhut Civic Centre
(PETAWAWA, ON) – An area youth is facing charges as a result of an investigation by the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) into a break-in and mischief at the Kinhut washroom at the Civic Centre in Petawawa in early April 2023.
The 14-year-old young person is facing the following charges under the Criminal Code
(CC):
• Break and enter, commit indicatable offence
• Mischief under $5000
• Mischief over $5000
The accused was released to their parents and is scheduled to attend the Youth Division of the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on June 15, 2023. The youth’s name cannot be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Youth’s you say-they want to destroy someone else’s property,if they are old enough to destroy they are old to pay back twice over,or better yet-give the invoice to parents,and make the “youth” work it off all summer in community ,work along older mature students…..Thanks
