THEFT OF SIGNS FROM AIRPORT UNDER INVESTIGATION

(PEMBROKE, ON) – The Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating after two metal “No Trespassing” signs were stolen from the property at the Pembroke and Area Airport on Len Hopkins Drive. The signs were stolen in mid-April and there are no suspects at this time.

The Pembroke and Area Airport has recently experienced issues with people trespassing on their property on foot, walking dogs, in vehicles and on off-road vehicles. The signs had been posted to deter such activity and the public is reminded that it is against the law to trespass on airport property. Anyone found trespassing on airport property may be charged under the Trespass to Property Act of Ontario.
