UPDATED: Aluminum Boat and Trailer Stolen from Madawaska Valley
UPDATE – 4 May 2026
Officers with the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located a boat and trailer that was stolen on April 26, 2026, from a property in Madawaska Valley Township.
On Thursday April 30, 2026, police were called by a Paugh Lake Road landowner who located an abandoned boat and trailer on their property. Police confirmed that the boat and trailer were previously reported stolen and the stolen items were returned to the owner. Further investigation led to an arrest later that afternoon.
As a result of this incident a 43-year-old male from North Algona-Wilberforce Township has been charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offence:
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
The accused was released to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Pembroke on June 1, 2026.

(MADAWASKA VALLEY Twp.) – The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating the theft of an aluminum boat and homemade trailer in Madawaska Valley Township.
The boat and trailer were stolen from a property on Siberia Road at approximately 5:00 a.m. on April 26, 2026. The aluminum boat is 10ft long and features a flat bottom.
