Province of Ontario Offers $50,000 Reward in Relation to Renfrew Shooting

A $50,000 reward is now being offered in connection with the homicide of 41-year-old Jonathan LOGAN in Renfrew County.

On Friday, May 19, 2023, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Jonathan was fatally shot at a residence on Vimy Boulevard in Renfrew. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival and remains at large.

Investigators believe Jonathan was targeted and are confident that information from the public could help move this investigation forward.

On Thursday, May 7, 2026, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) released a video featuring Jonathan’s mother who shares an emotional plea.

The Government of Ontario is now offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the death of Jonathan LOGAN.

This remains an active investigation by the Renfrew OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Assistance has been provided by the OPP East Region Regional Support Team, the OPP Forensic Interview Team, OPP Forensic Identification Services, the OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit.
