OPP LAY CHARGES IN SEXUAL ASSAULT INVESTIGATION
(PEMBROKE, ON) In the early morning hours of November 19, 2016 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint of a sexual assault in the City of Pembroke. Police attended to investigate and identified two female victims.
As a result of the investigation, two young female victims were identified and a 24 year old man from Selwyn Township, Ontario was arrested and is charged under the Criminal Code with:
• Assault and
• Sexual Assault on a Person Under 16 years of age.
The accused was released on a Promise To Appear and Undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Pembroke on January 10, 2017.
The accused, who is known to the victims, is not being identified in order to protect the identity of the victims.
