OPP INVESTIGATE FAIL TO REMAIN COLLISION

Pedestrian struck by SUV (PEMBROKE, ON)

The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a fail-to-remain motor vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of MacKay Street and Mary Street in the City of Pembroke. The collision took place at approximately 7:00 p.m. on October 18, 2022, after an SUV struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk while turning from MacKay Street onto Mary Street. The pedestrian did not sustain serious injuries. The involved vehicle failed to remain and was last observed westbound on Mary Street. The involved vehicle is described as a newer model silver Ford Escape SUV driven by a dark-haired female who was approximately 30-40 years old.

Witnesses or anyone with information about this fail-to-remain collision are asked to contact the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the OPP at 613-732-3332.
