KILLALOE OPP INVESTIGATING SUSPICIOUS DEATH

(KILLALOE, ON) – The Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a suspicious death at a residence in the Township of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards.

On Thursday, April 14, 2022, shortly before 2:00 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call at a residence in Killaloe. Officers located a deceased 42-year-old female in the residence. The identity of the female is not being released at this time.

A post-mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted on April 16, 2022, in Ottawa.

Investigators believe there is no threat to public safety.

The investigation is continuing, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), with the assistance of the Renfrew County Crime Unit, Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Services.
