FATAL COLLISION UNDER INVESTIGATION IN LAURENTIAN VALLEY Deceased Identified
(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TWP, ON) – The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to investigate a fatal motor vehicle collision on Doran Road in Laurentian Valley Township (LVTP).
On August 7, 2022, at approximately 12:15 p.m., members of the UOV OPP responded to a collision on Doran Road involving three motorcycles. One deceased driver was located at the scene, and two other involved drivers were injured. The deceased driver has been identified as 51-year-old John Ian OLEINIKOW of LVTP. A 65-year-old driver from Kanata, ON, sustained severe injuries and a 49-year-old driver from Petawawa, ON sustained minor injuries. Both injured parties were transported to the hospital by Renfrew County Paramedics. There were no passengers on any of the involved motorcycles.
An OPP Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigator (TCI) assist with the investigation. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
Doran Road was closed for several hours between Forest Lea Road and Barron Canyon Road due to the investigation.

On August 7, 2022, at approximately 12:15 p.m., members of the UOV OPP responded to a collision on Doran Road involving three motorcycles. One deceased person was located at the scene, and two other involved persons were injured. One of the injured parties was transported to hospital by Renfrew County Paramedics.
An OPP Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigator (TCI) are assisting with the investigation. The name of the deceased person is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
Due to the investigation, Doran Road is currently closed between Forest Lea Road and Barron Canyon Road.
