RENFREW OPP INVESTIGATING FATAL COLLISION ON HWY 17

(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal collision on Highway 17 in Whitewater Region Township. 

On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at approximately 10:39 a.m., members of the Renfrew Detachment of the OPP responded to a two-vehicle serious motor vehicle collision. A 62-year-old female from Cobden, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Reconstructionist attended the scene, alongside emergency crews. The investigation remains ongoing.
