ATV COLLISION UNDER INVESTIGATION

Driver seriously injured

 (NORTH ALGONA-WILBERFORCE TWP., ON) – On July 18, 2026, at approximately 5:40 p.m., officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle rollover collision involving an ATV on Smiths Bay Road in the Township of North Algona-Wilberforce.

The 31-year-old driver was injured and taken to hospital by ambulance. The driver was transferred to an Ottawa-area hospital by ORNGE Air Ambulance with serious injuries.

A portion of Smiths Bay Road was closed for several hours to allow police to investigate the rollover.
