CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBERY IN PETAWAWA UNDER INVESTIGATION

(PETAWAWA, ON) – The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a robbery at a convenience store in the Town of Petawawa.

On July 13, 2022, at approximately 3:50 a.m., police responded to a robbery at a convenience store on Petawawa Boulevard. An unknown individual entered the store and demanded cash from an employee, no weapon was used. The employee was not injured, and the person fled the scene with a quantity of cash. Responding officers, along with the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Canine Unit, were not able to locate the individual.

The person of interest is described as a white heavy-set male, wearing a dark blue Under Armour hoodie with an insignia, blue plaid pants, black shoes, yellow gloves, and a black respirator-style mask covering their face.
